Connecting Practitioners to CPR's Best Practices
Transforming a Website into a Collaborative Platform for Corporate General Counsel and Their Law Firms
In 2008, CPR required a new website for more effective dissemination of ADR-related business tools and resources and for the marketing of CPR’s membership, products and services. As Vice President and chief web strategist, I was singularly responsible for developing the overall website strategy and for the hands-on direction of all phases of web development, from contract negotiation to wireframe and content development. I delivered two extensive rebuilds of CPR’s website (in 2008 and 2010), ultimately achieving a robust web portal that optimized the user experience. The new site, www.cpradr.org transformed CPR’s intellectual property into a web-based legal research repository replete with strategic workflows, collaborative tools (blogs, podcasts, videos, RSS feeds), and robust content management system (CMS). In two years, increased registered users on primary site by nearly 600%. Note: Current site has been redesigned since my departure in 2012.
